Why?

I was on Fox News the other night, and on the home screen of the web page was a breaking news  article that was entitled, "Woman jumps in front of oncoming traffic with 2 kids". I was very interested and disturbed about the news and decided to read on. Apparently a woman named Marcelle Thibault was traveling North on I-495( one of the main free ways in Massachusetts) jumped the median and began to drive against traffic in the breakdown lane. She pulled the car over and undressed herself and then proceeded to undress Kaleigh Lambert her 5 year old niece, and Shane Lambert her 4 year old nephew. She then carried them to the highway and jumped in front of the oncoming traffic. Come to find out later in the article, that she was severely depressed and had a history of mental illness. After interviewing the parents of the children, they had said that everything seemed perfectly fine when Marcelle came to pick up her niece and nephew.
It was always saddens and disturbs me when I read the news and here stories of kids being killed, molested, kidnapped, etc. I just don't understand what goes through people's minds before things like this happen. How can you consciously hold your very young niece and nephew in front of oncoming traffic and just stand there? It's in these types of situations where we need to fully trust the sovereignty of God in knowing that He is in complete control of these things. If you come across this blog, keep the Lambert family in prayer.

Almost A Year...

It has been almost a year since my last post. I always motivate myself to get involved in the blogging world, and usually ends up lasting about a month, but this time, I am going to do my best to stick to it, and try to keep it interesting.

It's been awhile...

So I started this thing in hopes to use it often, and even begged Jon Letoto to put me on his ever so prestigious "Blogging Buddies" list, so I apologize to any of those who were hoping that I would write some exuisite material. I promise I will take this thing a little more serious in the near future.

Christmas Time = Great Memories

I just finished one of the very few "family traditions" that my family has left, and that was putting up our Christmas Tree. Every year we will haul down our fake tree from the attic, and our big box of ornaments and set them up as we take trips down memory lane, remembering the significance of each ornament. One of the funny things is, I found this ornament I made in preschool(16 years ago) and my parents start cracking up. I think I may take a picture of it, and post it on here at some point. All it is, is this green piece of cardboard shaped like a tree, that has glue stains all over it. Probably one of the ugliest things ever created. I was never much of an art guy growing up. But I think my parents loved it at the time, or at least they told me they did. So in this Christmas season, I want to encourage all of you to not forget the little things in life, and not to take for granted the time that you have with your family, because you never know when it could be your last. If you have any Christmas memories, feel free to leave comments.
